I qualified as a Remedial Gymnast in 1974 and as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1986 when the two societies merged.
I worked for 10 years in the Health Service and then moved to the private sector, initially working as a manager for Mike Varney’s clinic in North London who was the physiotherapist for Tottenham Hotspur FC at that time.
I have worked with both professional and amateur footballers; ice skaters (one of whom went on to represent Great Britain at the Olympics) a woman’s volleyball team who were English Champions; ice hockey players (semi professional and professional) being the bench physiotherapist for three seasons for Chelmsford Chieftains and am currently consultant physiotherapist for Romford Raiders Ice Hockey team.
I have also worked extensively both in hospitals and clinic situations with joint replacement rehabilitation and all other orthopaedic conditions (including children); also neurological conditions including stroke and Multiple Sclerosis.
